Client Art Reviews

I have long been an admirer of John Holyfield's art. From his artistic talent to the themes he chooses his work always speaks to me. I am proud to say that I am no longer just a fan but an owner of one of his wonderful creations. I recently added "Driftin" to my art collection! This wonderful depiction of "black love" is a great image that speaks to the blissfulness of two people caught up in the rapture of each other. John Holyfield is one of the great modern day artist that really captures and chronicles the African American experience in his work!

My wife and I appreciate John's art.  His "Serenade" graces our living room wall.  As a singer might do, I identify with his use of music themes, specifically vocals.  I sit and wonder 'what is he singing to make her look that way?'  It must be a very touching and romantic song.  Maybe a marriage proposal...?
We truly enjoy John's work, and are looking forward to increasing our Holyfield art collection in 2007.

"Gossip in the Park", "Family Fellowship", and "Memories of the Meadow" are a few of the earlier prints by John that I own and cherish. All of his creations possess an essence about him that is still evolving. Each painting also reminds me of a certain element within myself. These images take me back to my childhood and I reflect on precious memories.

By being in the art business, I have met many artists throughout the years. And John stands out as one of the most talented of them. His concepts are unique and the execution of each painting is superb. Besides being an outstanding artist with a good business sense, he is also one of the nicest people you can meet.

I love John Holyfield's art, for its familiarity and comfort. I love the way I can look at a Holyfield image and I am transported back into my childhood. Suddenly I am at my mother's side in the kitchen helping her prepare dinner, or I am at the table saying grace with my family. His work projects spirituality, traditions, family and love. A Holyfield image is not one to be ignored. His work will draw you in and touch a memory.

An appreciative fan,
